Affiliate disclosure
Short version: we earn commissions from some links, it costs you nothing, and it does not change what we recommend.
What this means in practice
SiftPicks participates in affiliate programmes. When you click a product link and complete a purchase, the retailer may pay us a commission — typically a percentage of the sale price. You pay the same price you would have paid directly; the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your wallet.
Links that carry a commission are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page source. We don't hide them, and we don't route every link through a redirect to obscure where it goes.
What we do not do
- We don't accept payment for a ranking, a score, or a place in a "best of" list.
- We don't publish sponsored reviews, and no brand reviews a draft before publication.
- We don't raise a product's score because it pays a higher commission rate.
- We don't claim hands-on testing we didn't perform.
Why cheaper products still win
Some of our most frequent recommendations are the cheapest products in their category — which means the smallest commission. That is a deliberate consequence of the method: criteria are set before we look at payout rates, and the verdict is written before links are inserted.
Prices shown are street prices at the time of the last check, noted on each page. They change without notice, and the retailer's page is always authoritative. We don't guarantee availability, and we can't resolve order or warranty issues.
Your control
You can always buy elsewhere — searching the product name in a new tab costs nothing and supports nobody. If you'd rather not use affiliate links at all, do that. Our recommendations are published to be useful whether or not you click.
Compliance
This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255) and comparable consumer-protection rules in other jurisdictions. Material connections are disclosed on every page that contains affiliate links, not buried in a footer.
